經過第一天瘋狂的現場，隔天快中午起床，全身還是充滿疲累。也偷偷慶幸還好第二天的行程沒有那麼緊湊，至少沒有太多我們必追的團。重點大概是在 Central Stage 的前三個團，不過還好 Boredoms 有兩場表演，我們決定放到最後一天看。所以還有時間跑出會場，去 Minehead 的海灘散散步，還有碰到一些奇遇（會在後面的番外篇介紹）。第二天的行程：

在做了七個多小時的巴士 (加上中途轉車的時間)，從倫敦做到 Butlins Minehead 的現場已經下午兩點多了。這樣代表我們早上七點就要趕去車站坐車！因為手機上時差沒有調過來，所以早上五點就起床了。加上前一天晚上跟火山還有正妹友人一起出去喝酒，所以根本就沒甚麼睡到。不過還好，我們充分的利用了這七個多小時的車程充電（整個就是睡死了），因為第一天的節目就超級刺激，從下午看到凌晨！以下是我們的行程：

Okay, it was not really disastrous. It was actually fucking awesome.Probably the best weekend ever in my life... unreal man!
Except that, Richard Ashcroft's storming off the stage.
Except that, there are few bands that I didn't get to see.
Except that, my legs are really killing me.

Yusuf (Cat Stevens) @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre 26/6/2010
Yusuf takes the stage to thunderous applause, the diverse all ages crowd clearly thrilled to see and hear this composer of so many beautiful, poignant acoustic pop songs performing live again. For all the press outrage and misrepresentation that has accompanied Yusuf’s Islamic faith (could this explain the type of security outside the venue normally restricted to metal shows? I can only hope not.), tonight he’s a jovial, light-hearted and crowd-pleasing performer. His voice is just as you remember from your parents’ worn out copies of Teaser And The Firecat and his band are simultaneously superb musicians and modest enough to keep Yusuf’s voice and personality centre stage. There are a few tunes from his most recent work, including the excellent Boots And Sand and some lesser-known older gems like a rocking Bad Brakes. But he’s savvy enough to know why the BEC is absolutely packed tonight. So there are hits aplenty, including his most blatantly Kinks-esque song Matthew & Son (incorporated into a fairy tale-like narrative section which also utilises Remember The Days Of The Old School Yard), as well as Where Do The Children Play?, Wild World, Father And Son, The First Cut Is The Deepest, Morning Has Broken, Moonshadow and Peace Train. The crowd laps it up, getting a generous two encores. A thoroughly humble and engaging presence, Yusuf’s performance tonight is a triumph. (from Rave Mag)
基本上就像review寫的一樣，我看這場看得非常感動。距離上次Cat Stevens來澳洲已經是三十六年前的事。我都還沒出生。所以不管怎樣，我一定要看。這場應該是我看過目前規模最大的，音樂祭不算的話。觀眾的反應大多都很熱烈。我很喜歡最近這一兩年他發行專輯的歌，因為宗教的關係，他的歌總是有種很誠懇的正面力量。但不是那種很天真的正面，而是瞭解這社會的黑暗，每個人的寂寞後，希望我們更積極更正面的面對每天的生活。真的推薦他改名成 Yusuf 後發行的專輯 "An Other Cup" 跟 "Roadsinger"。當然他七零年代的那些耳熟能詳的經典金曲，當然是演唱會的最精彩的地方。不管年紀的差別，種族的差別，每個人都跟著Yusuf一起唱。還有Waltzing Matilda，也是演唱會的 Highlight，至少對我來說，我聽的感動不已。這場演唱會真的好好看，真的好溫馨，真的好好聽。

Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions @ Tivoli 24/06/2010
I have a very mix feeling about this gig. It might be my worst gig ever.
Hope Sandoval, the voice of Mazzy Star. I don't know what that means to other people, but for me, it's huge. Her voice is something else, something above. Knowing that she's coming was such a big news for me. Finally I had a chance to see her singing live. Perhaps this strong anticipation leaded to a huge disappointment.
The supporting acts were Dirt Blue Gene and Mick Turner. I don't understand their music. I'm always a pop person. I just don't like this kind of ambiguous, weird post-rock shit. Still, I managed to sit through the whole thing. The announcer also mentioned about ABSOLUTELY no photography, so I didn't take any. After a long waiting, Hope Sandoval, the one I was so eager to see, finally came out, greeted the audience with a sweet "Hello". I guess that was the only interaction she had with the audiences. Nonetheless, my heart was pounding fast to see her sing. But the gloomy feel of her songs soon covered my heart with darkness. I thought she was an angel, but now she sounded like a devil herself. Now I know why her new album is called "Through The Devil Softly". Cuz she's devil herself. I don't know what got into her. I never liked the new album much, but now I hate it. I don't think I would want to pick up this devilish album, and reminded myself of this terrible gig. She only played like two songs "Around My Smile" and "Suzanne" from the first solo album. I loved that album so much. But clearly she doesn't want to sing those songs again. Not even my favourite song, "Charlotte". More disappointingly, there were no Mazzy Star songs at all. She was on the stage for like 40 mins, and walked out in the overwhelming darkness of "For The Rest of Your Life"(this song actually sounds like an incantation) without goodbye, without thank you, nothing. And never return, without encores. Partly I blame other audiences, their poor behaviours, I remember one woman was shouting "Come out! Play something! Don't be selfish!". Oh well... I write this to put this gig behind me.

I was meant to write about them earlier, cuz I was waiting for people to post their live photos. But still, I couldn't find any on the net. So... I will just write about it.
Living in Brisbane, but never know what's going on here, neither news or music scene (I don't watch TV). Just staying home, and discovering new bands from Sweden on myspace. However seeing Last Dinosaurs was a great treat, knowing them are from the city I live, though that still doesn't mean much to me. It was a great treat, because it was a good show. They're young, energetic and have a great single called Honolulu. And they have potential too, especially the guitarist Lachlan. Well, who cares about talents, skills, or genius? This is an "indie" era, it's all about dress-to-impress, feel-good, and have-a-good-time. Definitely going to catch them again at Splendour In The Grass. By the way, this is quite a bad video...

暖場的澳洲團The Cairos
之前聽他的個人作品，都只停留在專輯的前三首歌。在去這場演唱會前，我很認真的在聽一次這張Phrazes for the Young。甚至還去找了其他的 B-Side歌曲來聽。還有一些 The Strokes 的作品。而且發現，寫歌的 Julian 真的比我想像中的還要有深度。雖然他非常尊重 Oscar Wilde對年輕人的提醒: 「The first duty in life is to be as artificial as possible」。表面上，他的確是個很 artificial 的人。不然怎麼會去幫 Lonely Island 唱那智缺的 Boombox？但在他的歌裡面，可以聽得出他誠懇的那一面。在他那渾然天成的酷外表下面，他是有內涵的。
總之，現場又是另一回事。現場的他，除了酷以外還是酷。沒有甚麼其他非常感動我，或是震撼我的東西。音樂是很棒，Backing Band的表演絕對沒話說。但除了這以外，我真的沒有甚麼特別的。 Julian 只是很酷也很賣力的唱而已。雖然唱了我非常非常喜歡的 The Strokes B-side歌曲 I'll Try Anything Once 可是完全沒有感動。那ㄟ安勒？在兩個月的時間，我還會再看到他一次，同時還有其他四個 The Strokes 的團員。可是我不會抱甚麼希望，因為我早就聽說過了他們的現場不會太有趣。不過還是很期待在現場跟著一起唱每一首我都會唱的歌。
