MBV - Soon

still sounds like orgasm in an audio form to my ears...
Bilinda is just unbelievable... oh my!

I Wish I Was There

My Bloody Valentine 1991
- After the release of Loveless. I really don't mind to be deaf after seeing them.

The Smiths 1987
- After the release of Louder Than Bombs. They have so many good songs... Jeez!

The Replacements 1986
- Before Bob leaves the band. I don't care if they're drunk or sober, I wanna see them!

The Jesus and Mary Chain 1986
- I want to see the riots, and the JAMC when they are young, rebellious, noisy and don't give a fuck. Now they're old.

Joy Division 1980
- Anytime, anywhere before the death of Ian Curtis...

Woodstock 1969
- Love, Peace and Music.

The Velvet Underground 1968
- After the release of White Light/White Heat, and before John Cale leaves the band. Raw and noisy. I want to experience their unique live performance!

My Bloody Valentine - Glider/When You Sleep live (1991)
The Smiths - Ask live (1987)
(The way Moz and Marr dance is so cute...XD)

Recent Buys

Radio City LP and #1 Record LP by Big Star

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart LP and Higher Than The Stars 12''. Even a poster of Higher Than The Stars. I think it has The Smiths' cover feel.

Doolittle LP and Surfer Rosa LP by The Pixies. Great albums.

Why did I buy the one with the weird gate, and not the statue one? The original one looks much better! Glad that I only bought the 7'' one.

(front) (back)
I'm so happy that I bought this one. Though not original, but this 2 LP set contains Ectasy and Wine EP, Feed Me With Your Kisses EP and You Made Me Realise EP. Fucking awesome!

I bought these two in the second-hand vinyl store. My Charlie Sexton has stain on his face, but it's okay. The sound is good. INXS is in good quality, but none of songs on it are as good as Don't Change.

Sloth Scamper - When You Sleep (MBV Cover)

I was there. When the guitar came out, I was literally thrilled. How did I feel that way? I do not know. You won't feel that way watching this. That's what I love about live music. Thanks, Allen.

Self Assignment - Five Albums A Week

Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
The Magnetic Fields - Get Lost
The Smiths - Louder Than Bombs

Either listen to these.
Or no music at all.

Loveless

My Bloody Valentine's entire career has been aiming toward the perfect guitar noise that Kevin Shields has in his head: a pure, warm, androgynous but deeply sexual rush of sound. Loveless is overwhelming, with Shields and Bilinda Butcher's guitars and voices blending into each other until they become a distant orchestra, the rhythm section striding in majestic lockstep, and occasional bursts of dance rhythms (as on the single "Soon") buoying the live instruments' warp and drift. Furiously loud but seductive rather than aggressive, the album flows like a lava stream from one track into another, subsuming everything in the mix into its blissful roar, and pulsing like a lover's body.

by Douglas Wolk on Loveless

Wow! Such a blessing for a true classic album!

Only Shallow

聽起來真的很像一隻在草原上狂奔大象的嚎叫聲...
需要第一首歌就這麼有氣勢嗎?
