This film completely knocked me out.
The scope of this film is too epic. I don't think I have seen anything like this, so incredibly beautifully shot, so strongly emotional, so well constructed in every single frame. There are just not enough words to describe the love I have for this film. Akira Kurosawa is a true master of cinema.
I also watched Chris Marker's documentary, "AK - making of ran (1985)". I love Chris Marker's narrations, and his meditating insights. Above all, a glimpse of how this epic film was in progress in real life.
