Vivre Sa Vie (My Life To Live)

The more one talks, the less the words mean.
Why must one always talk? Often one shouldn't talk, but live in silence. One cannot distinguish the thought from the words that express it.
Nana: Shouldn't love be the only truth?
The Philosopher: For that, love would always have to be true.

This is the cultest film ever!

Back in 1962, Godard already looked at the issues of prostitution. He doesn't speak from anyone's perspective. He simply presented it with a loose structure, yet it gave you a pretty good idea of what it was like. The film explored Nina (Anna Karina), a Parisian prostitute's life.

To be honest, this is a very unpleasant film, but I personally think it's a powerful film. Some of the images just stuck in your mind, and they challenge your thinking. That's why this is a good film, although it might be too hard to swallow for some people.
