Cameron Crowe's debut film as a director.
I think it's a very good movie, that is easily accessible.
I can see so much of myself in Lloyd Dobler.
It's hard to believe that I've already passed that period.
What's good about movie, is that they never age.
Even though the movie is as old as me, I'm still very fond of it.
John Cusack was so young back then tho.
Plus, the music is great!

According Morrissey, This Night Has Opened My Eyes was based on this movie. Even some of the lyrics were quotes directly from the play. So I went to find the movie.

It was originally a Broadway stage play by Shelagh Delaney in 1960.
Tony Richardson directed the movie and put in on the big screen.
I really like the story. I like the way the movie tells the story.
Including homosexuality, pregnancy, single-parented family, love, friendship.
Just a great film.

Get Lost is so dreary and so happy.
The lyrics are dreary. The music is happy. But I love it.
Stephin Merritt really wrote some fantastic songs.
Morrissey wrote some really awesome songs for The Smiths.
Both bands' songs are dark, witty, funny, intimate (to me).
I envy the genius, wit and honesty in their songs.
Apparently, both Merritt and Morrissey are openly gay.
