I think...
I think many people, including me, think that language lacks when we want to express something we feel, something we see, something we hear in real life. In many occasions, languages even confused us and misunderstood others.
But when you read the following words:
So in between that, we have the pleasure to enjoy beauty of life and creativity of our minds.
But when you read the following words:
- cherry blossom mornings of springtime
- singing in the breeze
- mist over mysterious forest
- wind blowing through wheat fields
So in between that, we have the pleasure to enjoy beauty of life and creativity of our minds.
Big Day Coming
Big Day Coming - Yo La Tengo
Let's be undecided, let's take our time
And sooner or later, we will know our mind
We'll be on the outside, we won't care
Cause we're together, that's somewhere
And there's a big day coming, about a mile away
There's a big day coming, I can hardly wait
Let's wake up the neighbours, let's turn up our amps
And we know we're used to without a plan
We can play a Stones song, sitting on a fence
And it'll sound pretty good, till I forget how it ends
I woke up early, couldn't go back to sleep
Cause I had been thinking of where it all would lead
So I made you wake up, I said, "Let's take a walk,
I wanna hold your hand, we don't have to talk"
+ baby, I can't wait to come back to you. This song fits perfectly!
Peter Saville
Peter Saville is famous for the design of record sleeves for Factory Records artists, most notably for Joy Division and New Order. These sleeves are beautiful, it really makes the vinyl album more collectable in my personal opinion.

School of Seven Bells
Lately, I'm really into dream-pop, because I've been working on a dreamy mixtape for my very special one.
After reading through few other blogs, and found this new great band, School of Seven Bells.
Ex-Secret Machines' guitarist, Benjamin Curtis with a pair of twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza.
Released their album "Alpinisms" in 2008.
Their music sounds dreamily pop.
I think they took a lot of influences from India. Some of the songs sound like...chanting Buddhist scripture. Still cool though.
Well, I guess I will let the professional do their job.
Half Asleep - great video! I like!
ps. SVIIB had toured with bands like Blonde Redhead and M83. Now they are currently touring with Bats for Lashes and White Lies. God, I wish I could see them all at once, sigh...

- "Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream." 8.0 (Recommended)-Pitchfork
- "The twin sisters' heavenly harmonies are unlike anything else you'll hear (the closest reference point is Cocteau Twins' Liz Fraser) and they make this debut album quite otherworldly and something very special indeed."-9 out of 10 NME
- "What pushes these songs past mere worship involves cunning collisions of robust rhythm, caressing noise, and heavenly melody, with each element equally crucial. Good shoegaze/dream-pop bands mastered one of them; the most exceptional of the heap, like this group, had all three down." 4 1/2 out of 5 - AMG

Zeigeist
They're from Stockholm, Sweden... another Swedish band.
I thought they were from England, but no.
Three-piece with extreme make-ups and costumes.
Besides that, their music is pretty good, very retro.
I think it's a very good dance music.
Myself, quite enjoy their 2008 album, The Jade Motel.

My Funny Valentine
My funny Valentine
Sweet comic Valentine
You make me smile with my heart
Your looks are laughable
Unphotographable
Yet you're my favourite work of art
Is your figure less than Greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?
But don't change a hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little Valentine stay
Each day is Valentine's day
+ I know Chet Baker because of you.
+ this song has everything that I wanna say to you
+ I love you, sweetie. Happy Valentine's Day!
Family Tree
Under my love
Wake up to your window
The day calls in billows
It's echoing moonlight on to the blue nightmare of your heart
In cosy red rainbow
It's shaking off halos
And the memory of our sacred so and so's
Oh take my hand sweet
Complete your release and bury your feet
And married we'll be
Alone in receiving ours is a feeling not that they would see
They don't know that we could be
That way your cradle escaped the sea
And your raven haired Mama cought told you so's
Were laying in the shadow of your family tree
Your haunted heart and me
Brought down by an old idea whose time has come
And in the shadow of the gallows of your family tree
There's a hundred hearts soar free
Pumping blood to the roots of evil to keep it young
Ah me all mine
Is it safe to say that we've waited patiently
Call me on time
And recall the tune that has place us gracefully
All into line
There's the garden grave and a place they've saved for you
I'll fall by your side
Though your silver haired Mama throws told you so's
Were laying in the shadow of your family tree
Your haunted heart and me
Brought down by an old idea whose time has come
And in the shadow of the gallows of your family tree
There's a hundred hearts soar free
Pumping blood to the roots of evil to keep it young
And now we'll gather in the shadow of your family tree
In haunted harmony
Brought down by an old idea whose time has come
And in the shadow of the valley of your family tree
There's a hundred hearts soar free
Pumping blood to the roots of evil to keep us young
+ the song sounded good the first time I heard it
+ I was really touched after reading through the lyrics, frankly I didn't know exactly what the song is about... but you get this sad and really beautiful images. do you? maybe, a very vague one
+ so I went searching, found this interesting interview about the song.
Tunde Adebimpe: I've been in situations, and known people in situations, where someone's pure affection was unfortunately affected by outside sources. The terrain of a person's heart really isn't under the jurisdiction of anybody but that person, and in that song, it's an older generation condemning a relationship between two people for reasons that they probably had to deal with when they were younger. Like, "Well, when I was your age, I fell in love with so-and-so, and that was nothing but hell for me…" The "old idea" in the lyrics is bigotry, which could relate to race, to gender, to sexuality… People have their reasons for doing that, but it makes for such a waste of what could be a really short life.+ after talking to you about families, I wonder a lot about how I was so locked in the "old idea". for now, I just wanna be a much freer person like/with you
+ I love the image of "hearts soar free"
+ damn right, life is short, and everyone is living for themself. why should we care so much? traditions are evil...
+ after knowing above, now the song sounds terrific
+ I hope you like this song as well

The Reminder [Deluxe Edition]
I didn't like this album at the start.
Maybe because I really like "Let It Die".
Somehow this album sounds too mainstream.
But after carefully listening to it, it still has many songs I like.
Buying the deluxe edition isn't a hard decision at all.
+ Islands In The Stream
+ Fightin' Away The Tears (I wish my house has this kind of wind, blowing all the time)
+ Remixes
+ Videos ( I think videos were made brilliantly, I love these two)

Nostalgia
"It is the nostalgia which produces the desire to fragment, the impossible yearning for the lost (imaginary) object of desire which issues in the frustrated and atavistic smashing of the ideal object...one sees the possibility of humanist affirmation destroyed by an insistent and excessive nostalgic sense of loss of pure Being whose impossible realization produces the urge to destroy altogether what can be. If things are fragmenting, let's fragment them utterly."

The Beauty
Lester Burnham: I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn't a second at all, it stretches on forever, like an ocean of time... For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout camp, watching falling stars... And yellow leaves, from the maple trees, that lined my street... Or my grandmother's hands, and the way her skin seemed like paper... And the first time I saw my cousin Tony's brand new Firebird... And Janie... And Janie... And... Carolyn. I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me... but it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday.
+ I've gotta see American Beauty again... someday.
